The 2018 growing season was dry through the spring with well below normal precipitation. Cooler weather dominated this vintage with only two short, relatively mild heat spikes through the entire growing season. Summer days were very pleasant in Sonoma County with highs in the 70s and 80s and with August having even warmer temperatures. With everything in balance, we harvested October 5- 29, 2018.
Enjoy this Cabernet Sauvignon now with braised short ribs, beef ravioli or lamb shanks, or cellar it to enjoy over the next 3 to 5 years.
Rich, lush and structured, our inaugural vintage displays intense aromas of dark plum, vanilla and soft mocha. This wine is velvety in texture with a long finish of dried berry, toasty oak and milk chocolate. Enjoy this wine now with a seared New York sirloin and peppercorn sauce or your favorite assortment of cheese and charcuterie.
