			Winemaking Notes
A powerful red blend from the hillsides of Alexander Valley and high elevation vineyards in rugged Northern Sonoma County, this wine is lush with wild dark berries, plum and minerality. The wine has a nice balance between fruit and earth and finishes with long and lingering vanilla and baking spices. The soft, supple and mature tannins give this wine a strong backbone while the 16 months of barrel aging have softened the wine enough to enjoy now.
		Production Notes
Our Wine Club exclusive red blend is named for our Wine Club Manager, Katy Turner. Celebrating 22 years with Rodney Strong Vineyards, Katy is the heart and soul of our club.
The 2021 vintage turned out to be a fantastic growing season, with no frost and very mild temperatures throughout most of the year. However, the unpredictable spring rains ended in March in what would become one of the driest seasons on record in Sonoma County. Predicting an early harvest due to the warm and dry summer conditions, we were surprised to find flavors and high acidities in the berries dictating the need for patience. With all things in balance, harvest took place September 15-29th.
